Widget cart and add-to-cart short code not working

  • I have two issues that seem to be related. The page is https://www.ezdetailbrush.com/store/ and I have used the shortcode [add_to_cart id=”529″] to place the buttons next to the products.

    When the buttons are clicked, it goes grey and spins and spins. If I go to the cart page the item has been added.

    In addition, the side bar cart widget does not show anything when there are items in the cart.

    I have change the theme to twentyfourteen and removed all of the other plugins and the behavior did not change. Please help.

    Any reason why you’re using shortcodes instead of just the regular shop page powered by WooCommerce? As for the errors you’re getting, seems like these might be SSL related: https://cld.wthms.co/fGhQ/598IXjUm

    Hi Riaan, thanks for the reply.

    I converted this shopping cart from Cart66 and this page was already set up. We liked the layout with the product images lined up on the right. It seemed quicker to just put in the short code rather than try to adjust the regular shop page. If that is what I have to do, then I will.

    Thanks for the lead on the SSL issue. I will follow up on that. (I also set up SSL at the same time I converted to Woocommerce)

    I removed the fonts.googleapis.com and the issues still stand.

    the short code issue is solved by changing to a different theme. the cart widget is still broken.

    I am wrong about the short code being solved. it works in the live preview, but when I activate any other theme, the same behavior exists. The short code issue and the cart widget issue do not seem to be dependent on themes or other plugins. I could really use some help with this.
