Hi, I experienced some problems after upgrading from 1.0.5 to 1.0.6. The plugin was automatically deactivated after a ‘missing file’ error (I don’t think it specified which file). After reactivating it, I had to re-add the widget to the widget area and all settings and image references appeared to be lost.

Then I inspected the widget_dk-image-rotator-widget option in the wp_options table and realized the original value was still there, but the newly added widget was probably seen as a new instance and settings for this were appended. I completely emptied the value, added a new widget instance and reset the value from a backup. Then it worked again.

So there might be some problems with upgrading (possibly due to file renames?)

  • Same here

same, it stopped working after going from 1.05 to 1.07.

Gave me warnings in the dashboard and stopped working on the front-end.

I can confirm the exact thing kretep has stated. Upgrade wipes out everything and it’s seen as a missing file.

It has been a month. Not sure if this plugin is still supported, any news?

I reverted to an older copy that I have, version 0.2.6.

Yes, this is supported. We did a bonehead move and changed the name of some of the files and that resets the plugin as if it weren’t ever installed. If you upgrade, just add your images and you’ll be good to go. And yes, we continue to make updates to this plugin with more coming!

Cool, thanks for letting us know Douglas! All the best!
