    Hi Danny,

Thanks for creating such a useful plugin.

I have one suggestion concerning the Titles.

When I created the Widget Block and then added the Widget in Appearance > Widgets, I expected that the title I used in the Widget Block would be automatically used as the Widget Title. This is not so, and I so I changed the default “Just another WYSIWYG Widget” widget title to match my Widget Block title.

Is it possible to have an option on the plugin to automatically set the Widget title to the Widget Block title?

As a developer it’s no big deal for me to set it in both places, but a non-techy editor might be confused when they change the Widget Block title and that change is not reflected on the site.

Also, since we’ll be using this tool for client sites it would be nice to have a way to remove the “donate” notices. Maybe you could provide an authorization code once a donation has been made that can be entered and verified to remove the notices.

    Thanks,
    Kathy

    Hi Kathy,

I have been thinking about this for a while as well and implemented this in version 2.2.4 (just updated the plugin). If you re-save your widgets, the title of the widget block will be used as the widget title.

Regarding the donation notices, that would be nice indeed but I’ll have to figure out a way to make this easy, I don’t want to make it a paid product just to have the donation notices removed. I did remove the donation notice from the widgets page though.

Thanks for your suggestions Kathy! Would really appreciate it if you could take a quick minute to leave a review on the plugin. I stopped developing (due to being busy) for a year and left the plugin broken, which really left an impact on its rating.

Thanks Kathy, well received and much appreciated!

    hello! great plugin!

I will admit this is a great feature to get the title automatically, but I sometimes do not want a title to show on the widget. is it possible to be able to have a check box or something for no title?

I realized that if i don’t name my widget block it will then not show a title, but then i get a bunch of blanks in the list and need to guess which is which. it’s not a big deal for me personally but I develop a lot of websites for churches and this will confuse the church staff that edit it.

See the screen I attached: https://www.gfts.us/wp-content/uploads/widgets.jpg

It’s a great plugin, I plan to donate and review.

I would like to agree with GFTS in their post above.

Maybe having a check box or something so that the widget would display no title?

I have just had to apply the css ‘display: none;’ to h3 on that specific widget so that it doesn’t display the title on a website. Although this works with no problems, if the website owner wants to add a new widget they would be stuck with a title as they don’t know how to change the css.

Maybe the check box could be added in the next update (at your convenience).

    Great plugin though. Thanks ??

    Hi guys,

The checkbox sounds like a good solution, so it’s either the title of the widget block or no title. Correct?

I’ll add it in the next update, probably early next week!

Thanks for thinking with me here.

For me i think that’s the best solution. Hope the others agree!

    Thanks

I also agree with the checkbox option for controlling the display of the title.

    I concur.

Thanks Danny, it’s working well for me.

Thanks Danny for the quick updates for the plugin, the plugin is really useful. One thing that I have notice that even if you didn’t check the show title it still render h4 tag with class widgettittle.

    Hope this information helps.

    Thanks ??

    Fixed that in v2.3.2 @tncdesigns – thanks!
