Widget block areas locked – can’t unlock

Ever since the Facebook 6.2 update, my widget areas are locked. I can’t add new blocks and I can’t unlock the widget areas.

Dashboard >> Appearance >> widgets. When I click on the block list view at upper left, I can see all the widget area and they have padlocks beside them. I can’t click on the padlock or find any way to unlock the widget areas. When I try to add a block to a widget area, it doesn’t show up in the main widget area, but it does show up in the list view.
