  • I don’t believe there is anything built into the functionality of the theme that would allow for this. Perhaps you could get into the theme’s template files and pull a widget area into that spot if you create a child theme, but I can’ say exactly what that process would entail.

    Yeah you would need a child theme for that. You would have to edit templates/content-single.php add in your widget area to the top of the file.

    Do you know of any free plugins that would achieve this? I want to add a feature box, but the Plugmatter plugin doesn’t show anything when enabled. So I wonder if the theme doesn’t let it display anything or what.

    Never did a child theme and I’m a bit worried I’d mess something up.

    Hey, I don’t know of a free plugin. I think using a child theme would be your best way but if you don’t know coding then you may need to hire a developer.
    I don’t know the plugmatter plugin but there isn’t anything in the theme that would hide content. I suggest contacting the plugin authors.
