Widget area background color & space

Hi,

3 questions about widget’s:

I already changed the color of the heads of the widgets using:
/* change widget header background */
.s1 .widget h3, .s2 .widget h3 {
background: #3b8dbd;
color: #ffffff;
}

Now I want to change the background color of the widget area.
What code should I use?

And…I want no space between the widget area and the head.
Is that possible?

I also want some more space above and under the header text..
