Widget admin aera does not respond – wp 3.3

  • I just installed a new blog with wp 3.3
    In the widget admin area, I can’t drag and drop any of the widgets, can’t even open the widgets that are in the sidebar by default to remove them..

    any clue?

    thanks but nothing about widgets in there ??

    The symptom: Barely any JavaScript works in the admin. Meta boxes cannot be collapsed. Clicking the Screen Options or Help tabs don’t do anything. etc.

    Try reading it again.

    Ok I see, thanks esmi.
    I’ve installed and activated the hotfix 0.8 plugin that should fix those problem, unfortunately, it still behave the same way..
    Maybe I should use wp 3.2 for now.

    So I tried the following fix:
    1) I installed the hotfix plugin 0.8 version which fixes javascript and barely issues. – no change
    2) I downgraded to wp 3.2.1 – no change

    3) I thought maybe it was a theme issue so I switched to Twenty Eleven theme… – no change

    I tried all these but my wp admin area still behave strangely:
    widget admin area: I can’t even collapse the “screen option” button
    When I try to install or delete a plugin from the plugin admin, it redirects me to the front-end instead of realizing the task.

    Any idea what’s going wrong and how to fix it?
