• Hi!

Is there a way to get the body part of this theme just a bit wider?
I am using the wider version of the theme, but would like to expand the body section for around 20-30px more.
I’ve tried changing style.css, wider.css and others, but nothing works.. :/

    Help!

    TIA!
    Mat

    No one? Can’t be done?

I’m trying to widen it to FB size for images, since I’d like to use the same image for FB and for my blog. FB is 720px wide, but the blog is just around 700-710px, since it cut’s the border a bit.

But I can’t freaking find where to change it :((

it is a tedious css adaptation, not really anything to do with wordpress per se.

you have to go through the stylesheets line by line, and increase the width formats which are already in the range of 600px to 1000px by the same amount of px; then ‘photoshop’ the background images to fit the new width.

I’ve tried changing style.css, wider.css and others, but nothing works..

don’t forget to clear the browser cache (CTRL F5) to make the changes visible in your browser.
also, the background graphics might give the wrong impression that nothing has changes.
start with increasing the total width of the site, then the width of the content area.

a link to your site might get you some pointers/suggestions to get you started.

I did exactly that.. I started with the wider.css (since I’m using the wider version of the theme), increased everything by 20px, and nothing changed. I didn’t cleared cache, just the refresh button..
    I guess I’ll try again.

remember – don’t get fooled by the graphic background images, which will not expand automatically with the changes.
