    Hi,

I came across some articles (including Matt Cutts video) suggesting that nofollow attributes to internal links (add to cart button on category pages, add to wishlist button on yith wishlist) is bad for SEO and the distribution of the PR.

So, I was wondering what will happen if I remove the rel=nofollow attribute from all of these links and make the checkout, wishlist and cart pages noindex, dofollow?

Can you suggest if there will be some negative or positive SEO effects if I do that?

Add to cart links don’t go anywhere. If you do this you’ll probably just see bots trying to add items to cart, which has no positive SEO impact I’m sure.

Hi webmakers2011, can you, please, link some of those articles? I’m looking for the exact same thing: understand if I should remove the “nofollow” from the “?addtocart” link or not.

Did you removed it? Can you, please, post some links about opinions on this?

Hi, there is no need to remove the nofollow on the add to cart links and wishlist links. It is better for them to be there for SEO purposes.

@webmakers2011 the “add to cart” URLs are dynamic ones with query strings, it isn’t good for SEO.
