Why was the AMP error topic closed?
-
The problem wasn’t resolved at all.
The error (see: https://s1.postimg.org/4luvrhv63z/error1.png & https://s1.postimg.org/644piyei7z/error2.jpg):
“The attribute ‘href’ may not appear in tag ‘div’.”
<div class="wpcr3_button_1 wpcr3_submit_btn" href="javascript:void(0);">Submit</div>
This is the button created by the plugin that allows a visitor to submit a new review.
In the plugin source where you would expect to be able to fix / resolve this there is the following comment:
%—
NOTICE: Changes made to this file do nothing.
Additionally, this file will be overwritten with each plugin update and/or activation.
If you have the Pro version, you can edit this file via plugin settings without it being overwritten.
—%However, on the plugin developers homepage (https://www.gowebsolutions.com/wp-customer-reviews/), there is the following message:
“WP Customer Reviews Pro Version is in the works
Once the initial bugs are worked out for the new version, we’ll be working on the Pro version with lots of goodies!”This is a critical error that prevents the use of AMP compliant pages. So please, either give users an option to fix it themselves, or release a fix or make the pro version available for sale.
Thanks
