Why update to Twenty-Four (or any of the Twenty-X themes)?

Why would someone update to the Twenty Twenty-Four theme? Is there a benefit? I’ve seen people have trouble with it, as I was trying to find the answer to this question.

But if I pick a “non-Twenty Twenty-X” theme, then I don’t have to worry about this. I just click update Theme every once in a while.

Do the Twenty Twenty-X themes never get updated? Is that a security issue? Is that why I should move from Twenty Twenty-Three to Twenty Twenty-Four?
