Why this plugin is useless – would take

I’ve tryied hard for hours to decode enough documentation to get WP 3.5.1 working on my IIS7 / SQLSVR2008 site working.
After all this waste of time those are the errors or problems I have encounter:

First, and most important: this projects looks forgotten. Files are old and nobody seems to have updated this for a year. It hasn’t been any release for many of the last wordpress updates, and it wasn’t working properly for the olders ones as far as I can tell.

Upload media is no working. No matter how many “solutions” I’ve tried, none worked for me in order to solve the “missing temporary folder” issue, due to a combination of hosting restrictions and WP/plugin errors.

Search functionality is deactivated. So far I couldn’t look for themes nor plugins, haven’t tried with posts.

Formatting post text functionality won’t work either.

Elude several host restrictions was tricky in order to get this only-for-apache thing working, since I’m just average php programmer.

Fixes in the support area worked for me to fix de backslash, limits, date and permalink issues, after modifying the core files of this plugin and one of the WP main files.

In the end, everything for nothing. The lack of contributions from authour would make this a temporary solution at best.

So I was looking for a profesional bloging platform and end up with nothing… Shouldn’t be this hard, I could spend one week fixing this up.

PD: For the big mouths, no, windows server wasn’t my call so I had to adapt to it, and to this point is not possible to change this fast enough.
