    The uploads location have already been created and cannot be changed, if I do media upload, it will be uploaded to different folder(s), that’s not acceptable.

    You can change where you want to upload in Settings>>>>Media

    No, that’s not neat:

    My images are organized as:
    uploads\type1\
    uploads\type2\
    uploads\type3\
    uploads\type4\
    uploads\type5\
    ….

    and more over, I tested the media upload, it actually not only uploads my original images, but also creates different sizes of thumbnails for a single image, for example, image1.jpg will have image1.jpg, image1-454×198.jpg, image1-150×150.jpg, image1-300×199.jpg, …

    I don’t need so many different sizes images, can I use only one image and change the image size by using HTML width setting in css?

    This is a huge word load for me if I need to change all the files’ coding!
