why still telling me to update

the update i tried from 6.1.4 to latest version thru admin control panel was unsuccessful. so i made backup of everything first and then from a latest wordpress version, I manually uploaded wp-admin, wp-includes folders and the files under main folder except wp-config file. and my site worked, it is working now, and it has the latest version which is also shown in admin dashboard. all good so far. but in my admin dashboard, i still see the message telling me that autoupdate was unsuccessful and telling me to update to latest version., when i click on updates tab, i still see it. will this go away after a while? and i opened my site from different web browser as well, and the message is still there.
