    Hello,

For some reason the plugin ads “wc_post_id” to the Product IDs when syncing the products to facebook.
What is the reason for this?
Can this be removed so the product ID will match the Product ID on the website?

    Hi @odeezl

Could you please provide us with a screenshot so that we can see what you are describing?

I recommend https://snipboard.io for sharing screenshots – please follow the instructions on the page, then paste the URL in your reply. It works with Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.

    Hi @odeezl

What is the reason for this?

The prefix is added to indicate that the ID came from WooCommerce. This may change in a future version – there may be more control over how the Facebook ID is generated from SKU, Woo ID etc. If the current behaviour is blocking you from doing something, you can log an issue so we can understand your use case/need

    Hello,

    Thanks for your feedback.
    @amandasjackson the issue is simple:
The products ID in woocommerce is “4139”
The product ID that is pushed to facebook catalog is “wc_post_id_4139”
So, the the plugin ads “wc_post_id” to the ID making it not match what we are pushing in the facebook pixel on content view.

@simplysaru is there a way to prevent this from happening?

    Hi @odeezl

There are no plans to change it but would it be possible that you change the ID you’re pushing within the content view to include wc_post_id_ ?

    Hey @johndcoy ,

Thanks for the update. I’ve ended up adding the prefix to the ID I’m sending to facebook pixel via GTM.
