why Posts Page shows frontpage content?

  • Need some help here please.

    When I create a blog category and mark it as the Posts Page, it not only picks up posts assigned to this blog category – but it also grabs existing content from my front page and shows in the blog roll!

    I only want it to show posts assigned to the blog category. How can make sure this happens?

    I’m using twenty twelve with a static frontpage.

  • Does it show them because the new posts are also part of the blog category. Your site url would be of great help to look at and understand your problem better, could you share a link ?

    The blog roll picks up all my content, not just what I have assigned to it.

    I suspect this is happening as I have selected the blog category as the Posts Page (blogroll) in the Reading Settings under Front Page Displays.

    The site is this wuyesouxunzhe.com (use google trans please) but I’ve had to disable the blogroll and just have it as a category (as it picked up all content)

    I guess I just need some help to create a blogroll that only picks up content assigned to it (while using a static front page for other content)
