• I have a blog, but I have some problem. I use post_modified date like Last modified in Blog Sitemap file, and I also have revisions, in which I can see last changes. But why last revision post date not equel post_modified date? Help me, please

  • A revision (automatically) stores a record of each (auto)saved draft or published post.

So if you publish a post today let’s say at 11:00 and you edit it a few times in the back-end, without publishing. Your revision time could be 11:30 while your post time is still 11:00 (because it isn’t published).

At least, that’s what I think. Not sure if that is an answer to your question though.
