Why no longer Supported?

  • I just wanted to know why this plugin has been neglected? It does not work with the latest WordPress version and has not been updated for the last 3 years? Why is this?

    I added this plugin to my website and it does exactly what I want it to do, but it broke the site because it is out of date. I was looking for a plugin where I can display files on the front end of the website and where users can upload their own files into folders on the front end.

    Will this be updated and if not, can anyone suggest an alternative way or plugin that will do the same thing as the File Away Plug did?

    I’m working three jobs and raising two kids. That explains why file away is neglected

    However, if you have an error log you can share with me, I’ll be happy to provide you with a solution. For the record, it is working fine for me on over 50 of my sites with the latest WP and latest php.

    Thanks very much for your reply. It would be great if you could update it when you have the time so that it works with the latest version of WordPress?

    We have a Choral Society website and I am one of the webmasters and we wanted a plugin where we could list all the documents and also allow certain folks to upload documents that they wish to into folders. Your plugin does just that, but the problem we had was when logging in.

    We also have the Ultimate Member plugin on the website and we found that when logging via the UM login page that it would not show the admin menu at the top of the page as normal. I had to login via WordPress itself via wp-admin about 2 to 3 times before the admin bar would show at the top. It would work a few times and then go back and I would have to do the same thing, so I deactivated the plugin and the problem was solved.

    Is there anything we can do about that?

    Sounds more like a conflict between the Ultimate Members plugin and File Away than a problem between File Away and WordPress itself. I’ll see if I can duplicate your problem when I get a chance.
