Why no html links in widget?

Hello,
why is it not allowed to use normal html-links in the widget you deliver? I can include a httpv:// link for a video but everytime I try to write something like Testlink the code is immediately deleted after SAVING.
Why is this restricted? Isn′t it the user′s choice what to write into this HTML-field? I, for example, would like to set a link right below the video for subscribing to my Youtube-Channel. At the moment impossible. And I would like to use styles, <div> tags and so on. But it does not work.
Why?
