  • Possibly bad permalink structure? Try removing the “.php” from your permalinks.

Edit: Nah, they might cause problems, but not for your feeds.

    Thanks for your suggestion, Beel.

I have removed the “.php” from my permalinks.

But, still, my feed is error.

    Anyone can help me?

If you have plugins activated, de-activate them and test your feeds.

If that doesn’t fix the problem, check for blank lines at the top of the index.php file in your root directory and your theme’s header.php file. If you find any at the top of those files, remove them ASAP.

Yes, blank lines bad in index and whitespace in plugins bad, too.

    Macmanx and Beel,

    Thanks for your kind attention.

I have check index.php at the root directory. There is no blank line . Themes’ header.php file has no blank lines too.

    I have deactivate all plugins.

But still….. my feed is error. Weird, huh?

My feed still error. I even replace the theme I used to the default WP Kubrick.

But… my feed is still error… Why?

You still have a blank line at the top of your feed source (you had 5 before, so this is an improvement). That blank line is being generated by a WordPress file, theme file, or plugin. You’ll have to track it down.

When I had the extra line in my feed it would not validate, either. But I did not get the “Feeds should not be served with the ‘text/html’ media type” error message. This is a shot in the dark, but perhaps there is an incorrect setting in the server config?

Remove the blank line so we can see the error that generates.

heh-heh, said by someone who has never had to “remove” it! ??

    “I can’t find the needle.”
    “Where did you lose it?”
    “Somewhere in the haystack”
    “Well, just go get it.”

yes, the needle lose in he haystack…

can someone using magnet to find it? or should we burn the hay?
