Why Isn't Hueman 1.5.3 on www.remarpro.com Updating to the Latest Version 2.2.2?

Hi Rachele. Although the theme version in the wp.org repository and the version on the theme website are very similar, they are not exactly the same. They share the same code base but the version on the website contains additional functionality as explained there:

Note: The version of Hueman available on www.remarpro.com is a “lite” version, and does not include sharing buttons, tracking code field, basic shortcodes and some other things as it is seen as plugin territory.

It’s fairly straight-forward to update to the website version:
1. Activate a default WP theme like Twenty Fifteen.
2. Delete the currently installed version of Hueman.
3. Download the new version zip file from the theme website to your local computer.
4. Install the new theme in your Admin panel by selecting Add New > Upload Theme > Choose File, then select the zip file.

The one thing to note is that you won’t receive an automatic notification of updates; you’ll need to check the website periodically. You’d go through the same process described above to install an updated version.

If you want to use a child theme:
1. In Theme Options, click the Help tab in the upper right-hand corner.
2. One of the options is to Download the sample child theme. This will download the child theme zip file to your local computer.
3. Install the child theme in the same manner described above.
4. Activate the Heuman Child theme.

Thank you very much! I was able to upload the latest version of Hueman to my site and it works great! After installing the latest version, I was able to add a custom website header to my site which gives it a much more professional appearance.

Rachele how did you do this? I have the Lite version of Hueman from the WP site and I downloaded the full one from the theme website but it won’t install because “Hueman” is already there.

I see the directions for activating Twnety Fifteen and deleting Hueman and installing the new version. I’m afraid of losing my site. I do not know what the Hueman Child theme is. Which directions did you follow? Thanks in advance!
