We run an outdoor tourism business and our site https://www.peteranne.it has lots of photos, videos and wrapped text, since we want to attract people who value such detailed info. See as an example https://www.peteranne.it/mountain-bike/#/0/0. We have used Twenty Ten since 2010 when we first built the site in WP. Now, only 15% of our visitors use smartphones and we are not really aiming at people who do last-minute searches when already on holiday but it would be nice if we could “simply” move to a new responsive theme to not be penalised / minimise penalisation for mobile searches with new April 21 Google algorithm. We are currently pretty consistently in top 5-15 Google places.

We have spent the day looking at themes…what a nightmare!

The responsive WP standard themes Twenty Twelve onwards are completely different from Twenty Ten, using these would require a complete rewrite of our site.

Is it possible to make Twenty Ten responsive, please? (there was a plugin/child theme https://responsivetwentyten.com/ but not maintained since 2011…having to use this would be a last resort….) Or has anyone found another theme that does exactly what Twenty Ten does, please, and that’s responsive?

There must be lots of people in our situation…

    thanks Peter & Anne
