    Aloha,

Thanks for making such an awesome plugin!

It has been working perfectly for me and I have not had any problems with it so far.

One thing I did notice is that when I went into the backend of the plugin to check some things out I noticed it was 78mb large. This is the largest plugin I have ever installed and I am curious as to why the plugin is so large because most of my sites are below 78mb themselves. When I went to check how large the WP Offload S3 plugin is it turned out it was only 718kb but the 17mb Amazon plugin was required for it to work, basically below 20mb.

Would there be any way to slim this plugin down to 20mb or so?

I do not use any of the imgix functionality just the upload functionality and the crop tool. I do not need the imgix support. Could you recommend how to slim this plugin down that would work with updates or possibly have a slimmed down version as it is slowing down some of my sites.

I really really appreciate you creating this plugin and sharing for free. Can’t thank you enough as WP Offload S3’s pricing is ridiculous!

    Let me know.

    Mahalo,

    Curran

Thanks, I’m glad you found the plugin useful!

The bulk of the weight is in the AWS SDK. I include the entire thing and Offload S3 probably doesn’t.

It’s not likely that I’ll slim it down because the effort to do so doesn’t make sense from a cost/effort perspective. I also use the plugin via composer mostly for my client’s sites, so the AWS SDK gets installed as a composer dependency. I use the same dependency in a bunch of other plugins for clients that I haven’t open sourced yet.

Feel free to fork it though ??

    Thanks!

    Jon.

Also, you should give Imgix a spin.
