• sorry can’t find a resolve on this: Installed WP using cpanel and fantastico de luxe. The install was not to my root directory as i already have my site built, https://www.djcharliehood.com I allowed the install to create the directory named ‘blog’.

after finishing the install, the page doesn’t auto load to the admin login screen. instead, i have to manually type in djcharliehood.com/blog. Once i get there, all i see is the parent directory/bucket showing all of the wp content.

eventually i found the index file and logged into wp, created a test blog, and tried to view it, boom, again, all i see is the parent directory.

what gives? i followed same steps as other cpanel fantastico users on youtube videos. thanks for helping in advance.

  • Talk to your host and tell them to set index.php as a valid index file. Or google to find out if you can do it.

    Don’t post “the same problem”.
Follow the suggested steps to solve it. Write back when THAT didn’t work for you.

And do not, double post, wchan40!

The solution is as simple as it was posted above (and has been asked and answered many, many times – just search).
