Why is the navigation menu showing internal links twice?

The reason is that the same menu is declared to be utilized for the handheld navigation also. That means the menu for mobile devices (phones, tablets).

Checking the site’s source code reveals it clearly. Linked here is a screenshot showcasing it (the last two instances of that last word in the menu are further to the right in the same line of code, therefore within the handheld-navigation tag)
