I am using WP Staging Pro for my multisite installation. I got it to clone the site to dev.mysite.com, but noticed the log file showed failed updating permalinks notice.

Upon navigating to dev.mysite.com, a plugin (blog templates) displayed error that multisite must be enabled. I renamed the blog-templates folder but got a 500 error. I renamed plugin folder and was able to login to dev.mysite.com, where i noticed the admin bar was NOT orange even though it was my dev.mysite.com.

I guess my question is, what am i doing wrong. The bar should be orange, but more importantly how do I enable multisite on the dev.mysite.com.

I noticed my dev wp-config file had “//Changed by WP Staging” besides multisite and allow multisite, but when I put to true it redirects to main site. I tried changing the “define(‘DOMAIN_CURRENT_SITE’, ‘dev.mysite.com’);” but that didn’t work either.

What am I doing wrong? I need to be able to have a staging site just like my multisite, but I can’t enable multisite without redirecting.

Thanks for your time looking into this and responding!

I figured it out. Wp-Staging only supports staging the subsites of multisites and not the entire network. Duplicator could do it for the network, but it would have to be quite manual without the push and pull features.
