Why is media file size is now maximum 2MB

  • I was trying to upload a picture for a post that I am working on. When I try to upload pictures there is now a 2mb limit. Most of my pictures are slightly larger than that. I’ve been uploading pictures of 3-4mb for several years. In fact as recently as last week I was able to do so.
    I went to the php.ini files at Bluehost (my web host)and changed it to 50MB as this was recommended in one of the forums.
    This has not changed anything. Why is this an issue now?
