• Newbie here – please be gentle! Calling all DARA experts…

I just migrated my site from WordPress.com to www.remarpro.com and I am trying to fix all the layout issues incurred by the transfer.

Biggest problem I can’t solve is on my homepage: I don’t want the menu title ‘Home’ appearing in the body of the page.

But if I remove it, then my H1 appears in the navigation/menu! I can’t find a way around this.

It seems the page title HAS to appear in the nav and vice versa…far from ideal.

Can anyone help me please? Thanks in advance.

I should say – that this is the WordPress.com site I am trying to replicate in www.remarpro.com. Home this explains the problem a little more clearly…

Do you have a page on the .org install titled as ‘Use my skills to boost your business’? If so, if you set that as the front page of the site, I think it’ll fix the issue you are having

    Hi @jarretc

    Thanks for responding.

That page is indeed already set as the static home page.

So when I put ‘Use my skills to boost your business’ back into the page title field, that title actually appears in the nav – instead of Home – which is what I DON’T want.

    See what I mean…?

Any ideas how I can fix this?

And a secondary problem – during the import, the full-width feature images have shrunk or moved over

    compared to the original:

Surely if both sites are using the identical Dara theme, the image dimensions on the templates should be identical?

Any ideas how I can fix the image issue?

    Thanks in anticipation.

Don’t worry. After several thousand hours on Live Chat with Tech support and trying various things, nobody can help me – so they said the only option is to pay £138 for a ‘professional’ to do the migration and they guarantee that everything will work as it should afterwards. #swindled

Hi, sorry for the delay. In regards to the title/nav, right now on https://box5134.temp.domains/~compeln3/ I see the Home text up in the nav and then ‘Use my skills to boost your business’ down in the content area. Were you able to get this figured out? From what I can understand of what you’re trying to do and based upon the .com version, it looks like it is configured correctly now.

For the image issue, for the Services page the “background” image links to here

    https://box5134.temp.domains/~compeln3/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/bernipalumbophotography_jaime11.jpg

Yet that returns a 404 error, not sure if you have access to the server itself through FTP. If you do, can you confirm that image exists in the /wp-content/uploads/2019/02/ directory? Or are you able to see that image existing anywhere in the Media Library?

    Thank you SO MUCH @jarretc.
I will look at this as soon as I can.

I assume that if it hasn’t transferred for some reason, I can just add new…

@compellingcopy – write back to us if you need any further assistance.
