Why I add a differnt language for existing page, all content disappeared

  • When I add a new language for my home page the new page created but all content disappeared. I suppose all content will maintain and I just change the text

    Any thing I missed and wrong ?

    Attached picture shows English version is with picture and text, but new added Chinese version is empty, why ?
