Why Have My Formatting Buttons All Disappeared on My Page for Adding Posts??

Two weeks ago, I logged into my WordPress account and attempted start a new blog post using the HTML text editor option, but I noticed in the space above the field where you write, all the formatting buttons that allow you to bold, italicize, make lists, add “read more” were ALL gone. I also noticed that I can’t even choose the visual editor as an option anymore because anytime I try to click on it, nothing happens.
