Why Google Pay, ApplePay have to relay on stripe?

    Hello,

    Is there a plugin supporting Apple Pay and google pay without relay on stripe?

    Stripe does not work in lots of countries

    Hi @alexliii

    Google Pay and Apple Pay rely on a payment processor like Stripe, because that’s how the actual payment gets facilitated and reconciled. If you don’t want t use Stripe, you can try other payment providers such as Braintree, which we offer a plugin for.

    although, I really don’t understand why have to use third parties like stripe or Braintree since Apple Pay and google pay are already a kind of payment method just like PayPal.

    so, is it possible to use a plugin independently without relying on any third parties but achieve Apple Pay and google pay?
