    Hi Terence,

    I hope you’re doing well.

    Thanks for reporting this bug!

It’s caused by The SEO Framework, but having a quick look through the code once more, I can’t find the reason for this to happen. I believe I also encountered it on my test site before but I ignored it at the time as there were other priorities.

However, I will look into it further ASAP, but for now I can’t say which line exactly is causing this, as both descriptions fairly run through the same process of generating one.

I’ll keep you posted, until then: Not to worry :). Descriptions are allowed to be changed over time without penalty. And after all, it’s the content that matters.

Thanks and have a great weekend!

    I guessed that.

One of the AskBug forum was saying how much better and more integrated “Add Meta Data” was at doing that ~ https://anspress.io/questions/question/seo-fix/ ~ well, I couldn’t let that stand, but at the same time, I thought I was on shaky ground.

Thanks for the link and your support Terence, it gave me a hint for a solution ??
    Working on it!

    Hi Terrence,

    Happy New Year!

The issue as described in this topic should be fixed in the next update, I went so fast with the updates I forgot to post back here (with 1500+ line changes).

I have an alpha version of the next update ready if you’re willing to test things out. Use at own risk :), it’s currently not recommended on live sites.
If you wish, please let me know if you find any issues, you can download the current “stable” alpha here through the “Download Zip” button:
    https://github.com/sybrew/the-seo-framework/tree/4e48794a52c1bc73d96348ade8f443b8b3e8ca0e

I also wanted to let you know that /wp-includes/ has once again been allowed through robots.txt, this should resolve some Google Webmaster Tools notifications.

Moreover, the next update contains many visual changes! I hope this doesn’t scare people away ??

Thanks and have a great day!

And a happy new year to you too!

    No issues so far.

But one thing… what visual changes?

    (@cybr)

Thanks ?? That’s good to hear!

Many, many changes! Here’s the list so far:

    1. Colorized character counters with colorblind support, with on-load effects
    2. Custom Title additions while you type, with RTL support and on-load effects
    3. The SEO Bar has a new color scheme, specially chosen (took me a while) to support all color vision-deficiency spectra and I tried to make it more beautiful ??
    4. Hover message in the SEO Bar is aligned to the left, with RTL support
    5. Hover messages with “words too many” add an extra break before showing if the length is sufficient
    6. Subtle color changes in the SEO Settings page for checkboxes and radio buttons
    7. Hover message “mouse arrow” on the SEO Bar now can’t fall off the sides

A side by side comparison will reveal the changes, but it requires a good eye to spot the differences when not told about them :).

Well, not having a Sanskrit site, being color-blind or having the old and the new side by side, all I can add is ~ it works.

And when it walks like a duck. And quacks like a duck. I think there’s a distinct possibility, you have yourself a find duck there.

That’s good to hear ?? But I believe it to be more of a swan with a duck costume ??

    Hi Terence,

As The SEO Framework 2.5.0 has just been released with the fix, I’m marking this topic as resolved.

If you however still find the bug occurring, feel free to re-open this topic and let me know!

Thanks and have a wonderful day ??
