Why doesn’t my child theme’s style.css process new code?

    Hi

    I wanted to replace Simple Custom CSS plugin with my child theme’s style.css. Mainly because I don’t like to use many plugins. However, when I copied and pasted my 200+ lines of CSS into my child theme’s style.css, I did not see any changes on to my website. What am I doing wrong?

    Please note that I would like to keep my parent theme’s existing css code too.
