Why doesn't cron key match?

  • I frequently have scans on a few of my sites hang. Max server memory is 128M and my scans never surpass 64M, so I’ve tried setting Wordfence max to 90M.
    I’ve left Max Execution blank, set it to 15, and even set it to 24 (server max is 30).

    Server load is often 30, and generally averages 15.

    What causes the cron key to not match? Is there anything else I can do to economize the scan?

    And why doesn’t the scan abort so it can try again later?

    My max execution time is now set to 29 and I’m still having this problem. I’ve turned on debugging and the cron error message looks to be showing up way before 30 seconds of a chunk of scanning beginning.
