    Hi webmasterNsFD,

Are you getting any error messages when you try to activate it, or is it not even showing up in your plugins list?

Can you tell me a little more about your setup? Multisite?, PHP Version, etc.

When there is an error updating/installing a plugin automatically through the dashboard, errors are more often due to an issue with the files or permissions on the server, or the connection to www.remarpro.com, rather than an issue with the actual plugin.

When this happens, the best thing to do is try to do a manual update/install, by downloading the new version, and either installing a .zip file through the dashboard, or uploading the files via FTP. See the plugin’s Installation instructions page – options 2 and 3.

After that, automatic updating should work for future versions. Can you try that, and let me know how it goes?

    My site is a stand-alone site https://www.newsharoniowa.com and I am using PhP5.5

I have tried three different ways to install it, actually, I thought that I had already installed it months ago. I have tried to do a manual install & update, it failed. I tried to install it via FTP, it failed. It is not visible in my list of plugins, but it is visible in my FTP directory ‘plugins’.

Not a problem. We’ll help you get it up and running.

I’ll need a bit more info from you on the specifics, and we’ll need to email back and forth, so please head over to the WP-SpamShield Support Form, and take a moment to fill out a support request. That will allow us to take care of this as quickly as possible for you.

I have the IP address of the spam that is coming through my Contact 7 form. It appears to be spoofed because I have had it come from China as well as Germany. Would you like for me to submit it?

I just emailed you back. It’s ok, you don’t need to submit the IP address to us. Once you get WP-SpamShield up and running it will take care of it automatically.
