Why does WP compress text from paragraphs into blocks of text?

  • I use WP as a static webpage (in this case a capture/sales page). I have a block of text that I use and will put it into three paragraphs.

    When I come back and edit … I just put in a new video today that was no where close to this block of text… WP over-rides my paragraphs and places everything back into a block of text …

    Anyone know WHY?

    More importantly, is there something I can put into the code to prevent this annoyance from happening?
