I’ve not seen this before, has it got to do with wp-ecommerce plugin? Why would it add that after I save the new page?

    Thank you

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – resetting your custom permalinks back to the default setting via Settings -> Permalinks. If this works, then review Using_Permalinks before setting a custom permalink structure back up again.

    Ahhhhh!!!
I figured it out! And I feel like an idiot.
The parent page was called sample-page…. that’s where it was coming from.

But this is a good lesson in “ALWAYS REMEMBER TO FIRST DEACTIVATE PLUGINS” – not that this would have made a difference but it got me looking at stuff differently.

    Thank you so much Esmi!

Glad to hear you managed to figure it out anyway, ??
