Hey @jcollier,
thanks for your message!
Version 1.0 was a major rewrite of Qyrr to improve the usability of the QR code creation and almost completely removes the requirement of external scripts (it’s all built with components of the WordPress Core).
Version 1.1 added support for the Classic Editor plugin to use Qyrr even when Gutenberg isn’t the general editor of your choice.
Due to that, you can create and manage QR Codes with the Block Editor but still, use your Pagebuilder / Classic Editor for managing Posts and Pages.
I also implemented the old shortcode into the new version to ensure it can be used without using blocks.
I don’t plan to support the old way any longer as it’s just too different from the “new WordPress,” but I understand that this can be frustrating (it also is for us plugin developers).
I think the major goal should be to do Qyrr work with Gutenberg but without forcing a general switch to it for editing the website.
The content of your post doesn’t match the template assigned to your post type
Maybe you are using a different way to disable Gutenberg?
I added support for “Classic Editor” and the “Disable Gutenberg” plugin.
I’m happy to add support for other implementations as well.
Best regards,
Patrick
