Why does this plugin not auto-cache on new posts?

I am still scratching my head as to why this plugin doesnt have an option to cache the sitemap when a new post is created. I see that one can cache a sitemap and it can be regenerated, but it only does so after a defined period of time. Huh? Seems obvious to me that when caching is enabled one would usually want a feature to regenerate a new cache file when e.g. a new post is created.

Seems like a oversight. I had to look through your code and don’t see anything resembling what i am saying.

Love to hear your rational why this feature doesnt exist.
