why does the editor add comments all over the place in the html

  • Why does the editor add <!–mep-nl–> or <!–mep-tab–> comments all over the place in the html view? I know these are comment tags, but why are they there? How do you keep it from doing that? I suppose they aren’t hurting anything but it bulks up the code when it doesn’t need to.

    It’s not related to a specific page, it is in all the posts when you look at the Text view.

    Seems these comments are added by another WordPress plugin or were pasted. Perhaps try to disable your plugins one by one until you find the culprit.
