Why does subcategory posts show only one post?

    I want to show (5) subcategory posts but it only shows one post at the time. The parent categories show five posts, and the subcategories are connected to the parent category theme with this function:

    Is there anyone out there who could help me understand what makes my site to only show one subcategory at the time?
