Why does Site Kit have its changelog on github?

Why does Site Kit by Google have its changelog on github, but not on the linked page from plugins.php. Why can’t they follow the WP convention like everyone else?
It’s annoying when things have a simple interface, but some choose to make it more complicated than it needs to be.
