• I have created two different wordpress neavigations. Nav 1 appears on the homepage and Nav 2 appears on my blog page. The reason I have different navigations is because my homepage is sort of like a one page website and when you click on the navigation it smoothscrolls to that section on the page.

My problem is that when I go to my blog page and click on Nav 2, the “About” button. It works just fine. However, if I go back to my blog page again and click on the same button it does not work. In the URL bar it only says my websites url/#about. There is no about page…I have linked it so that when you click on “About” it links to my homepage (b/c that is where my about section is…).

The way I created Nav2 was by clicking on APPEARANCE–>MENUS and then created links for the menu headings.

Does anyone have any idea what is going on?

  • It sounds like the link in the menu isn’t going to the correct URL. Do you have a specific page called “home” or did you create a custom link to your main domain address?

Could you link to your site so we can see the behavior for ourselves?
