    Hi everyone,
I’m fairly new to this and have spent many hours trying to make my wordpress template (child of twenty twelve) look like my html website.
I’m doing this as I wanted to add a blog to my website.
    Blog: blog.theayurvedapractice.com
    Website: https://www.theayurvedapractice.com

After many hours, I have managed to get close (on Firefox and Chrome – nowhere near on IE but that’s another stage altogether!). However, I want to make the site-content’s position absolute so that the widget area (with the drawing) and the content always come up next to each other and look right (I don’t want site-content to move to the left and push the widget area down which is what happens when I have the site-content floating and reduce the window size of browser).

When I specify an absolute position for the site-content (left 337px), suddenly the html pixel size (not sure what the name for this is) reduces to about half the height that it was and therefore pushes the footer up into the middle of the page (as it is doing now).

Anyone know why this is happening? I am not very technical so any simple explanations would be most appreciated!

    Thanks.
