• So I configured my first ever newsletter using MailPoet plugin on my WordPress website, scheduled it for 10 AM Sunday morning today. When I didn’t get it to my test mail IDs, I came to the laptop and logged in at 10.25 AM. The instant I logged in, the scheduler ran, and the newsletter was sent out at 10.25 AM.

What is the purpose of scheduling if one needs to be logged into the website at that exact time?!! What am I missing/overlooking here? Please help! Here is the website https://www.sjanani.com Would love to get your feedback and will be happy at any subscriptions too as I’m just starting out.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi there! Thanks for reaching out about this sending issue you noticed.

Congrats on configuring your first ever newsletter! Looks like you’re off to a great start with your website, I’ll be happy to help you get things running smoother for your next issue.

Can you please navigate to MailPoet >?Settings?> Advanced and let me know which Task Scheduler option you have selected? There are three options, and each is triggered differently.

If you’re just starting out, have low traffic to your website, but need newsletters to be sent out at a precise time, you may be interested in looking into the Server side cron (Linux cron) option.

Please take a look through our knowledge base article to learn more about how the task scheduler works and to select an option that will best suit your needs: https://kb.mailpoet.com/article/129-newsletter-task-scheduler-cron
