I’m using Foobox and in the Caption tab, I mus be missing something. It seems that Foobox does not actually support displaying WordPress media “caption” or “description” as the Foobox caption? Why? This is the most natural choice for what to display. Unless I’m missing it somewhere, the Caption tab settings only allow me to specify Title or ALT text, neither of which are what I want to display on the Foobox. I want to be able to specify for Foobox to pull the WP media “caption” or “description” without having to mess with code. Please help!

    Hi @kingdingbat

    Sorry for the delayed response.

Before I can advise further, could you kindly send me a link to a page where this can be observed so that I can run some tests from my end? Thanks in advance for doing so.

    Kind regards,
    Elvis.

Thank you for your response. The Foobox settings are clear. You can only choose “Title” or “Alt” text as a FooBox caption. There is no option to display the media’s actual caption data as the FooBox caption. The only options are:

    • Default – img[title], img[alt], img[data-title], img[data-alt]
    • Anchor or Image – a[title], a[data-title], img[title], img[alt], img[data-title], img[data-alt]
    • Image Title Only – img[title], img[data-title]
    • Image Alt Only (NextGen title field) – img[alt], img[data-alt]
    • Anchor Title Only – a[title], a[data-title]
    • None

You don’t need a link to my website to test anything. It’s a design question. There should be an option to pull the media’s caption for the CAPTION.
