Why does every comment ever made to my site appear on the registration page?

Wondering whether anyone can solve this one for me..

On my site registration page, I appear to get all comments which should appear on the pages/posts they were submitted to (and they do) also appear at the bottom of my registration page.

Any clues as to why this is happening?

Turning the comments off on the page itself is not an option, as that box is already unticked. There have never been any actual comments made on this actual page, it is simply every other comment ever made on the site being duplicated on to this registration page.

Can someone please help? Been struggling with this for months ??
