    Hello,

I’m facing an issue with a WordPress plugin I’m using. Whenever I click on a job category on my website, it redirects to a 404 Not Found page. I’ve checked the permalink settings and the plugins installed, but the issue persists.

Has anyone encountered this problem before or have any suggestions on how to resolve it? Could this be a plugin conflict, or is there something else that might be causing the category pages to return a 404 error?

Thank you in advance for your help!

    Hello,

Update WordPress rewrite rules. Go to?wp-admin > Settings > Permalinks. Don’t change settings on this page, just visit it. WordPress will update rewrite rules.

Try to do a conflict test. Temporary deactivate all other plugins and activate the default theme “Twenty Twenty-Four”. Does this issue occur? Activate other plugins one-by-one and test the job category page to find a plugin that causes this conflict.

I updated the main job slug to lowongan-kerja and adjusted the job base value in the page permalinks to match the slug, lowongan-kerja. However, after switching back to the default value, job, everything worked perfectly. Thank you for your response!

A word used as a permalink base can not match a slug of existing page. This rule applies to all types of permalinks.

I’m experiencing a persistent issue where my job posts are showing a 404 error, while regular blog posts display correctly. I’ve reinstalled my site three times from scratch, but the issue continues.

To fix it, I’ve tried several steps:

    1. Saved permalink settings — This is a common fix for 404 errors, but it didn’t work.
    2. Searched for the .htaccess file — I tried to find and edit the .htaccess file, but that didn’t solve the issue.

Another issue I’ve noticed is that when I go to create a job posting, the template area that used to appear on the right side is no longer there, which might be contributing to the problem. I’m using Elementor, so it’s possible that a setting or change in Elementor is causing this, and could be why the job posts aren’t displaying correctly.

To explain the issue further, I created a video where I walk through the problem, hoping to share it with a support team for assistance. Despite all these efforts, the issue with the job posts persists, suggesting there’s a more complex underlying problem. https://www.loom.com/share/1839ac95754349449dde438801487ceb?sid=14baa2dd-3c68-48bb-83d5-de0974ff787b

Thank you to anyone for the help.
