    Hi there,

I just changed hosting from one Litespeed web server to another thinking that it had poor servers but now, I’m seeing the same thing here :.

When Litespeed cache is hit, it has stellar performance.

When Cache : Miss or no cache, then the server response time is 2- 5 seconds, even for a simple contact page.

Before Litespeed, I was on a poor Apache server and for this page, the server response time was better !

What am I doing wrong please ?

You did nothing wrong, but page optimization is not for free. It causes a higher load if a URL isn’t cached yet and therefore it takes more time until your host can answer an request, so keep the cache always warmed and use the built-in crawler to that.

    Hi Supervisior,

I’m on a shared hosting where the hosting services has deactivated the inbuilt crawler. I’m trying the Cache warmer plugin but not sure it’s effective right now ??

3 seconds for a initial web server response for a page containing only a contact form seems bad though.

You need a cache warmer, that is made for LiteSpeed and the LiteSpeed cache plugin. Universal crawler doesn’t work.

some page optm takes time and resources to perform , and since you are using Apache , the caching won’t work

please try enable the QUIC cloud CDN, it will cache the page at CDN nodes.
