why do you switch __DIR__ to __FILE__?

    Hello! What is your reason for switching _DIR_ to _FILE_ in wp-config.php? ??

    Is it better to run _DIR_ when you have PHP older than 5.3?

    Once we got your report, I forwarded it to the development team to get accurate information about it. That’s why I took time to reply to you.

    Below the feedback I got:

    In the early versions of the wp-config-sample.php that was how ABSPATH was defined, but now they have changed it to?__DIR__.

    Thedirname(__FILE__)?and?__DIR__?are equivalent and there shouldn’t be any issue related to using them.

    However, our development team will check if it’s needed to change this. Definitely, they will take the correct action as soon as possible.
